PWN London: Head of Membership 

LOCAL ROLE

PWN London is seeing a VP Membership to join the PWN London volunteer Board. This role is the main point of contact for all membership enquiries and matters and actively encourages a long-lasting membership relationship. This individual is responsible for the development and implementation of a membership strategy to ensure sustainability, growth and active participation of members count and deliver a great experience for members. 

Passionate about attracting and retaining active membership participation, the head of Membership is a natural networker, comfortable with articulating the value of being part of PWN London as well as a strong administrator in managing the membership joining procedure and ongoing database for the local network 

Responsibilities 

  • Development and implementation of the strategy and campaigns to retain and recruit new members
  • A spokesperson for PWN London when required, able to articulate the positioning and value proposition to individuals clearly
  • Handling correspondence and discussions with members regarding membership, fees, etc.
  • Work closely with VP Marketing and Communications to ensure regular communication and engagement with existing members
  • Monitoring and administration of the membership database, and liaising with PWN Global on membership queries, where applicable
  • Provide analysis on membership stats and demographics
  • Attending events (when possible) to facilitate membership attraction
  • Greeting and welcoming new members
  • Contacting potential new members who have indicated interest in the network; leverages
  • Mentoring Program to attract people

Time Commitment 

  • Approx 3-4hours per week (variable and dependent on creation of a support committee)

Ideal Background/Experience: 

  • Preferably management experience in a broad range of functions, ideally in an environment with many interfaces (connectivity skills needed)
  • Dynamic, Outgoing, easy-to-talk to character with strong networking-skills
  • Demonstrated experience to setting and implementing strategies as well as connecting people
  • Committed team member with ability to work autonomously
  • Clear and logical thinker, comfortable with the administration of membership lists and databases
  • Familiar with leveraging online tools and an openess to be trained on web platforms, including SurveyMonkey, EventBrite, GoTo Meeting

  • Membership strategy
  • Retention and Recruitment campaigns (produced in allignment with VP Marketing and Comms)
  • Membership engagement plans (produced in allignment with VP Marketing and Comms)
  • Membership reporting (stats)
